High Grade Universal Century

The HG Universal Century model line is a monstrous effort by Bandai to revisit and make models of the mecha designs from the Universal Century timeline and now, Gundam’s Alternate Universe timelines. One can say that the HGUC line is a GunPla Renaissance, in that it's a revival of art from long ago with a modern twist. Only this time it's the GunPla from the 80's and early 90's, and the twist is modern model kit engineering. Gone are the plastic to plastic joints of an age long gone; gone are the days of one-color casting and lack of parts separation for painting. Gone are the shoddy casting seams and ejection pinholes in the middle of parts. In their place: snap fit construction, poly-cap joints, excellent part separation with accurate color casting and most importantly - the quality check to assure that the molds are near perfect.
